Yes — our installation service is available for appliances purchased from Colin M Smith. If you are buying a new appliance from us, installation can be added at the point of purchase either in store, by phone, or at checkout online.

Yes, and we recommend it. Delivery and installation are carried out by the same in-house teams and are coordinated as a single visit wherever possible — so you do not have to wait in twice. Simply add installation when you place your order and we will combine the two.

For laundry appliances and dishwashers, make sure there is clear access to the relevant water supply and drainage point. For built-in appliances, the housing unit should already be in place. For ovens and hobs, the electrical connection point should be accessible. Our team will handle everything from that point — disconnecting the old appliance, positioning the new one, and making all connections.

Disconnection of your old appliance is included as part of the installation service. If you also want it taken away, our recycling service can be added alongside installation — our team collects the old appliance on the same visit and arranges responsible disposal from £9.99.

Yes. We install built-in washing machines, washer-dryers, tumble dryers, fridge freezers, dishwashers, electric ovens, and electric hobs. The built-in installation service includes refitting the cabinet door onto the new appliance and checking door alignment once installed. The price for integrated appliances is higher than freestanding to reflect the additional work involved — see the pricing table above for full details.

Yes. Our wall-mounted television installation service covers the full job — bracket fitting, securing the TV, routing cables, connecting all your existing equipment (Sky box, Blu-ray, gaming consoles), tuning channels, and setting up Wi-Fi. The price is £130.00. If you need streaming apps logged in, this can be included for an additional fee — see the Enhanced TV installation option in the pricing table.

Please note that the wall bracket is not supplied as part of the installation service; you will need to purchase one separately. Call us if you need advice on which bracket suits your TV and wall type.

Most freestanding appliance installations take between 30 minutes and an hour once the team is on site. Built-in and integrated appliances can take longer — typically 1–2 hours depending on the appliance and the unit configuration. TV installations vary depending on whether a wall mount is involved and how many source devices need connecting. Our team will not rush — the job is not finished until everything is tested and you are happy.

We install throughout Dundee city and the wider Angus area. Our in-house teams covers postcodes including DD1–DD11 (Dundee, Newport-on-Tay, Carnoustie, Forfar, Kirriemuir, Brechin, Montrose, and Arbroath), as well as Blairgowrie (PH10–PH13), Laurencekirk (AB30), and Stonehaven (AB39). Yes. If you need the door on your fridge freezer to open from the opposite side, we offer a door reversal service for both freestanding and built-in models at £24.99. This must be requested at the time of ordering as the reversal is carried out at our Dundee workshop before the appliance is delivered — it cannot be done on site on installation day. Call the store when you order and we will add this to your booking.
