If you are ordering a model that needs to come in specially, delivery is usually 3–5 days.
Can you install a new washing machine for me?
Yes. Our in-house team offers professional installation. They will disconnect and remove your old machine, fit the new one, check all the water and electrical connections, and run a test cycle before they leave.

Will you take my old washing machine away?
Yes — we can remove your old machine on the same visit as delivery and installation. We arrange responsible recycling for appliances purchased from us. Please note that the removal and recycling service applies to machines bought from Colin M Smith.

Will the new machine fit in my kitchen or utility room?
Most standard freestanding washing machines are built to a width of 60 cm and sit under a standard worktop (height approximately 85 cm). Depth varies by model, typically between 52–65 cm, so it is worth measuring the space from front to back before you buy.
If you are looking at an integrated machine, door-hinge direction matters too. Call us and we will help you check dimensions and compatibility before you commit. We would rather you get the right machine than have to arrange a return.
What warranty comes with a washing machine from Colin M Smith?
All washing machines we sell come with the manufacturer’s standard warranty. The length varies by brand and model — typically one to two years as a minimum, with some manufacturers offering longer cover. Call the store and we can confirm the warranty terms on specific models you are considering.
What sizes and capacities do you stock?
We stock machines from compact 5 kg models through to large-capacity 10 kg+ drums, across freestanding, integrated and washer-dryer combinations. With around 83 models in stock, there is something to suit most households and budgets.
A rough guide: 5–6 kg suits a single person or couple; 7–8 kg is ideal for 2–4 people; 9 kg and above works well for larger families or those who prefer to do fewer, bigger loads. Not sure? Call us and we will talk it through.
